Take part in our research
As part of MULTICAST-EXPERIMENT Anna Monn (PhD candidate) and Samantha Weber (Postdoc) have started recruitment for a pilot study on transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) in healthy participants in February 2025. This study is based on findings suggesting that hyperconnectivity in the default mode network may be linked to suicidal thoughts, behaviors, and rumination. The aim of this pilot study is to investigate whether individualized brain stimulation protocols can modulate EEG-based functional connectivity.
What is involved?
Participation includes three stimulation sessions (each lasting approximately 2–3 hours) at the University Hospital of Psychiatry Zurich (Lenggstrasse 31) as well as three online surveys (each lasting about 20 minutes). Participants will receive up to CHF 170 or 8.5 “Versuchspersonenstunden” for full participation.
Who can take part?
Healthy individuals aged 18–65 without psychiatric, neurological, or severe medical conditions are eligible to participate.
