At the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics of the University of Zurich, Dr. Stephanie Homan delivered a talk entitled "Suicidal Ideation and the Power of Digital Technologies" as part of the Psychiatric Research Seminar, which promotes collaboration and knowledge transfer between researchers and practitioners. In her talk, she evaluated approaches to the prediction of suicide risk, focusing specifically on the use of mobile devices as a means of obtaining reliable data on suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Based on her involvement with the MULTICAST project, she provided insight into how digital technology will be used to inform and advance knowledge of relevant and appropriate interventions in suicidality.
